OnPay is seeking an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to be part of the Product and Engineering organization that embraces a customer-centric approach to the ideation, design, and delivery of new products and features. This position requires an experienced professional and self-starter who can independently facilitate the UX process, influence peers and project stakeholders, and take a hands-on role in the day-to-day project operations.

This position will serve as a key member within the team to elaborate on OnPay’s UX using established best practices for software design and user experience and ensure true problem solving of client needs alongside business goals.

Must be comfortable operating in a Lean, Agile environment with consistent collaboration and communication and have a pragmatic approach to design that is not only focused on experience but also on the impact on project scope and cost.

An instrumental aspect of this role is the ability to contribute to building and evolving tools, processes, best practices, and design frameworks to continuously improve OnPay’s UX craft.

Role Responsibilities:

• Maintain consistent visual standards and keep the living style guide up to date

• Collaborate with product and development teams, as well as cross-functionally to ensure a high-quality implementation and user experience

• Produce wireframes, prototypes, interaction designs and user flows in response to client feedback using key tools such as Figma

• Manage significant and complex design projects from start to finish

• Build OnPay’s practice to conduct and coordinate usability interviews to gather feedback and insights into client needs

• Track and deliver assigned tasks using key tools such as Jira and Confluence

• Measure, learn, and iterate designs to support user success and company goals

• Knowledge of design fundamentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop, web-based and mobile applications, and knowledge of usability best practices.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to Human Computer Interactions, Graphic Design, Information Systems or equivalent work experience strongly preferred

Experience:

• 5-8 years in a user experience design role

• Special Qualifications: Proficiency with wire-framing, prototyping and/or interface design software, such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, Adobe XD or Balsamiq, and general knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop

• Certifications: Design-related professional certifications are helpful, but not required, such as Certified Usability Analyst, awarded by Human Factors International, or UX Certification, awarded by NN/g
