Director/VP of Product Knowledge

As the Director/VP of Product Knowledge, you will lead and continue to build the Product Consultant and Technical Writing teams. Our Product Consultants serve as subject matter experts to clients, partners, and team members on topics like payroll, HR, integrations, etc. Our technical writers produce and manage our Help Center for clients as well as help document internal procedures and learning content.
We are looking for a payroll/HCM expert who has successfully led teams and wants to be the explainer-in-chief for a product-led company. The ideal candidate is driven and curious and constantly looks for better ways to explain complex procedures and methods. They are passionate about serving as an expert and also helping others become confident experts. By implementing a technical knowledge base, our Product Knowledge teams will lay the foundation for successful employee and client experiences. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate with little oversight, be an executor, and drive excitement and growth across the Product Knowledge teams
- Determine the strategic direction and objectives for the Product Knowledge teams
- Responsible for Product Consultants and Technical Writers
- Set KPIs and success metrics for the teams
- Serve as a top expert on how OnPay’s software works and how we integrate with partners
- Work closely with the Client Success, Learning & Development, New Accounts, and Partner teams
- Provide detailed feedback to the Product and Engineering teams
- Participate in industry conferences as it makes sense
- Address Product knowledge-related issues in a timely manner
- Stay current with the latest developments in the marketplace and competitor activities

Education and Experience:
- 8-10+ years of experience in a product knowledge role; preferably within the Payroll, Fintech, and/or SaaS Industries
- Payroll knowledge required, QuickBooks and Xero knowledge are strongly preferred
- A college degree is strongly preferred
